PENGARUH KOMPOSISI TERHADAP PERILAKU MEMBRAN KOMPOSIT PVA/KITOSAN/GRAFIN OKSIDA YANG TERIKAT SILANG ASAM SULFAT

Abstract


Membran komposit PVA/kitosan untuk aplikasi (DMFC) dari PVA dan kitosan dengan variasi komposisi (1:5; 2:4; 3:3; 4:2; 5:1) yang terikat silang asam sulfat telah disintesis. Komposisi PVA/kitosan terbaik dari uji ketahanan termal dan uji kuat tarik yaitu 3:3. Penambahan kitosan menyebabkan tingginya nilai tensile strength, namun menurunkan nilai break elongation. Penambahan PVA menyebabkan suhu onset meningkat dan persen weight loss menurun. Penambahan variasi GO (0-2%) bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh terhadap water uptake dan methanol uptake. Persentase water uptake meningkat seiring bertambahnya kadar GO dan persentase methanol uptake menurun hingga kadar GO 1,5% dan meningkat pada kadar GO 2%.
