Kekerasan Dari Lapisan Ti1-xZrx dan TiC pada Grafit yang Disiapkan dengan Metode PIRAC

Abstract


Pelapisan grafit dengan serbuk titanium melalui metode PIRAC (Powder Immersion Reaction Assisted Coating) telah berhasil dilakukan dengan variasi temperatur 8500C, 9000C, dan 9500C selama 10 jam. Pelapisan grafit tanpa penambahan ZrO2 menghasilkan lapisan TiC. Sedangkan pelapisan grafit dengan penambahan ZrO2 menghasilkan lapisan paduan Ti1-xZrx. Lapisan TiC yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini memiliki kekerasan yang lebih besar dari lapisan paduan Ti1-xZrx yang terbentuk dalam penelitian ini. Masing-masing lapisan memiliki kekerasan lebih tinggi dari grafit yang dilapisi. Grafit yang digunakan memiliki kekerasan 45 HV. Lapisan TiC yang terbentuk memiliki kekerasan rata-rata sebesar 2504 HV. Lapisan paduan Ti1-xZrx yang terbentuk memiliki kekerasan rata-rata sebesar 282 HV.
