Pengendalian Kualitas Produk Tuna Kaleng di PT. X Menggunakan Peta Kendali Multivariat

Abstract


Produk tuna kaleng merupakan produk yang paling sering diproduksi oleh PT. X. Meskipun perusahaan telah ber-upaya menjaga kualitas produknya, namun pengendalian yang dilakukan tersebut masih berupa pengendalian secara deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini pengendalian kualitas yang dilakukan meng-gunakan empat variabel karakteristik kualitas, yaitu histamin, kadar garam, pH, dan vakum. Pengendalian kualitas secara mul-tivariat dilakukan dengan menggunakan peta kendali T2-hotelling dan Improved Generalized Variance. Pengendalian kualitas pro-ses produksi tuna kaleng pada fase I sudah terkendali secara sta-tistik dalam varians prosesnya, namun belum terkendali dalam rata-rata prosesnya. Dengan menggunakan batas kendali pada fase I didapatkan pengendalian kualitas proses produksi tuna ka-leng pada fase II dalam varians dan rata-rata prosesnya belum terkendali secara statistik. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa telah terjadi pergeseran baik dalam varians maupun rata-rata proses produksi tuna kaleng pada fase II. Selain itu juga didapatkan bahwa proses belum kapabel.
