Isolasi dan Karakterisasi Bakteri Pendegradasi Solar dan Bensin dari Perairan Pelabuhan Gresik

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan isolat bakteri pendegradasi solar dan bensin dari perairan pelabuhan Gresik dan mengetahui viabilitas dari semua isolat yang diperoleh. Kecenderungan genus bakteri pendegradasi solar dan bensin dideteksi  melalui karakterisasi biokimiawi sesuai Bergey’s manual of determinative bacteriology. Viabilitas isolat diketahui dengan mengukur kerapatan optik sel bakteri pada medium minimal solar atau bensin menggunakan spektrofotometer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa isolat yang mampu tumbuh dalam medium minimal solar yaitu isolat S1 yang cenderung masuk ke genus Bacillus. Isolat S1 memiliki kerapatan optik mencapai 3.62. Sedangkan isolat yang mampu tumbuh dalam medium minimal bensin yaitu isolat B1 yang cenderung masuk ke genus Vibrio. Isolat B1 memiliki kerapatan optik mencapai 4.99
