Keanekaragaman Burung di Beberapa Tipe Habitat di Bentang Alam Mbeliling Bagian Barat, Flores

Abstract
Kondisi kepulauan di kawasan Wallacea yang terisolasi oleh laut menyebabkan banyaknya burung dikategorikan endemik dan sebaran terbatas. Flores merupakan salah satu pulau yang menyumbang burung endemik terbanyak, dimana empat jenis diantaranya ditemukan di bentang alam Mbeliling. Penelitian di bentang alam Mbeliling bagian barat bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman burung pada empat tipe habitat yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah transek, yaitu menjelajahi semua tipe habitat berdasarkan jalur yang terdapat di Desa Golomori. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keanekaragaman burung di habitat mangrove, savana dan kebun campuran termasuk tinggi dengan nilai indeks keanekaragaman 3,497; 3,324 dan 3,262. Sedangkan keanekaragaman burung di hutan hujan termasuk sedang dengan nilai indeks keanekaragaman 2,664, karena adanya Kakatua-kecil Jambul-kuning (Cacatua sulphurea) dengan jumlah yang mendominasi dibandingkan jenis yang lain
