Identifikasi Fasa pada Sintesis Al2O3 dengan Metode Logam-Terlarut Asam

Abstract


Telah dilakukan sintesis serbuk Al2O3 dengan metode logam-terlatur asam dengan variasi temperature sintesis. Bahan dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah serbuk aluminium (Al Merck) dan larutan HCl (Merck 37%). Sintesis Al2O3 ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode logam-terlarut asam dengan waktu kalsinasi 1 jam pada variasi temperatur 100°C, 300°C, 900°C, 1000°C, dan 1100°C. Karakterisasi dan analisis fasa dilakukan dengan instrumen X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD). Analisis fasa meliputi identifikasi fasa dan tingkat kristalinitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada temperatur pengeringan terbentuk kloraluminit AlCl3H12O6 yang kemudian terdekomposisi membentuk fasa amorf, lalu fasa-fasa intermediat alumina, sampai pada temperatur 1100 ̊C terbentuk fasa stabil α-Al2O3 (korundum).
