Studi Gangguan Mg(II) dalam Analisa Besi(II) dengan Pengompleks O-fenantrolin Menggunakan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis

Abstract


Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan studi gangguan ion Mg(II) terhadap analisa besi dengan pengompleks o-fenantrolin pada pH 4,5 secara spektrofotometri UV-tampak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mereduksi Besi (III) menjadi Besi (II) menggunakan natrium tiosulfat, kemudian dikomplekskan dengan o-fenantrolin pada kondisi pH 4,5. Kompleks diukur panjang gelombang maksimumnya menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis, selanjutnya dibuat kurva kalibrasi, dan diuji pengaruh ion Mg(II) terhadap analisa besi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ion Mg(II) mulai mengganggu analisa besi pada konsentrasi 0,04 ppm dengan persen (%) recovery sebesar 90,99% dengan Relatif Standar Deviasi (RSD) 2,24 ppt dan Koefisien Variasi (CV) 0,224%.
