Optimasi Multirespon Gaya Tekan, Torsi, Keausan Tepi Pahat dan Kekasaran Permukaan pada Proses Gurdi untuk Material EMS-45 dengan Menggunakan Metode Taguchi-GRA

Abstract


Proses gurdi adalah suatu proses pembuatan lubang bulat dengan bantuan mata gurdi. Eksperimen yang telah dilakukan pada proses penggurdian menggunakan material baja EMS-45. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan berupa matriks ortogonal L18 dengan memvariasikan jenis pahat, kecepatan potong, gerak  makan dan sudut ujung pahat. Masing-masing variabel yang diteliti memiliki tiga level kecuali jenis pahat memiliki dua level. Percobaan dilakukan dengan dua kali replikasi. Selanjutnya metode grey relational analysis (GRA) digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan karakteristik multi respon dari hasil percobaan. Karakteristik multi respon yang digunakan adalah semakin kecil semakin baik.

Dari hasil eksperimen yang didapat, variabel proses yang memberikan persen kontribusi paling besar untuk mengurangi variansi total dari respon gaya tekan, torsi, keausan tepi pahat dan kekasarsan permukaan secara serentak adalah variabel proses gerak makan sebesar 60,19%, kemudian kecepatan potong sebesar 21,51%, diikuti sudut ujung pahat sebesar 10,92% dan yang terakhir jenis pahat sebesar 1,5%. Pengaturan kombinasi level yang tepat untuk menurunkan respon secara serentak adalah jenis pahat menggunakan HSS, sudut ujung pahat 134o, gerak makan 0,1 mm/put dan kecepatan potong 50 m/menit.
