Studi Eksperimental Sistem Pengering Tenaga Surya Menggunakan Tipe Greenhouse Dengan Kotak Kaca

Abstract
Hasil panen padi (gabah padi) memiliki nilai jual yang berbeda - beda. Hal tersebut ditentukan dari kualitas gabahnya, salah satunya adalah kadar air dimana kandungannya tidak melebihi nilai yang telah ditentukan. Sedangkan cuaca saat ini tidak bisa diprediksi, sehingga menghambat proses penjemuran gabah padi yang sudah umum dilakukan para petani. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai alternatif petani untuk menignkatkan kualitas hasil panennya. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan alat pengering rumah kaca dengan kotak kaca dengan tiga variasi bukaan, yakni bukaan 20%, bukaan 10%, dan bukaan 0%, dimana setiap variasi memiliki sampel uji gabah padi seberat satu kg. Pada variasi kotak kaca bukaan 20% diperoleh laju penguapan sebesar 8,64.10-4 kg/s dengan kadar air akhir 19,80%. Sedangkan untuk variasi kotak kaca bukaan 10% didapatkan laju penguapan 6,11.10-5 kg/s dengan kadar air akhir 20,02%. Dan pada variasi kotak kaca bukaan 10% diperoleh laju penguapan 8,85.10-5 kg/s dan kadar air akhirnya 21,79%.
