Studi Eksperimental Tentang Karakteristik Aliran Fluida pada Airfoil Naca 0026 dengan Penambahan Transversal V-Riblets Sebesar S = H = 2 mm

Abstract
Airfoil adalah bentuk geometri yang menghasilkan gaya angkat tinggi dengan gaya hambatan rendah saat melalui fluida. Gaya angkat terjadi karena interaksi antara airfoil dan fluida yang mengalir, sedangkan gaya hambat disebabkan oleh gesekan antara airfoil dan fluida. Gaya drag dapat menyebabkan separasi dan stall pada airfoil pada sudut serang tertentu. Namun, aliran turbulen dapat menunda separasi karena memiliki momentum yang kuat. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan benda uji airfoil NACA 0026 yang dipasang riblets tipe V-Riblet dengan ukuran s = h = 2 mm pada area 25%-30% chord, dengan variasi sudut serang (α) = 0o, 5o, 10o, serta variasi bilangan Reynolds (Re) = 1x 105. Penelitian dilakukan pada open circuit subsonic wind tunnel di Departemen Teknik Mesin FT-IRS ITS dengan ukuran 660 cm x 660 cm x 1165 cm. Model benda uji airfoil NACA 0026 dibuat dengan ukuran span = 250 mm dan chord = 200 mm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan riblets V-Riblets dapat meningkatkan drag hingga 7.4% dan menurunkan lift hingga 5.32% pada variasi bilangan Reynolds (Re) = 1x 105 dan angle of attack (α) = 10o. Peningkatan bilangan Reynolds juga mempengaruhi stabilitas aliran dan karakteristik aerodinamika airfoil.
