Analisa Kegagalan Liner High Austenitic Manganese Steel Compartment-1 Rawmill Pada Industri Pengolahan Semen

Abstract


Liner merupakan komponen yang sangat penting pada rawmill untuk proses pengecilan dimensi dan mixing material di industri semen. Rawmill IIIB Indarung IV PT.Semen Padang telah mengalami kegagalan pada komponen ini. Tipe material yang digunakan yaitu FEM A (1110 4 RI C) ialah baja austenitik paduan tinggi mangan (High Austenic Manganese Steel) sesuai seri ASTM 2004 A 128_A 128M_93 yang dicor dalam proses manufakturnya. Untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut penyebab kegagalan material ini maka, dilakukan analisis kegagalan dalam aspek metalurgi berupa mikro visual, makro visual, uji kekerasan, uji impak, SEM, dan uji komposisi kimia. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh data sifat mekanik berupa nilai kekerasan pada material yang mengalami kegagalan, yang telah mengalami perlakuan quench 940oC dan temper 400oC, dan material hasil normalizing 940oC. Analisa struktur mikro dan makro pada baja austenitik paduan tinggi mangan ASTM 2004 A 128_A 128M_93 dan analisa SEM/EDX menunjukkan penyebaran unsur yang terdapat pada permukaan patahan.
