Implementasi Modulasi dan Demodulasi M-ary QAM pada DSK TMS320C6416T

Abstract
Salah satu jenis modulasi digital yang sering digunakan adalah QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation). Modulator dan demodulator M-ary QAM dapat diprogram dengan menggunakan DSP processor. DSK TMS320C6416T adalah suatu board/hardware untuk memproses sinyal yang termasuk dalam keluarga besar processor TMS320 produksi Texas Instrument, bekerja pada frekuensi 0-96 kHz yang merupakan standar dalam sistem telekomunikasi. Tujuannya yaitu melakukan implementasi modulasi dan demodulasi M-ary QAM secara real ke dalam DSP Starter Kit TMS320C6416T. Terdapat empat implementasi sistem yaitu sistem dengan input bernoulli binary generator, input pulse generator, sinyal input dari function generator melalui port Line-In dan input suara melalui port Mic-In. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kinerja DSK TMS320C6416T yang ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik Bit Error Rate terhadap variasi nilai Eb/N0 dilakukan dengan mengirimkan 100.000 bit. Kinerja terbaik terdapat pada implementasi menggunakan sistem QAM dengan nilai BER mencapai 1.00E-05 pada nilai Eb/N0≥11dB. Sedangkan kinerja terburuk pada semua sistem dengan input dari function generator dengan nilai BER yang tidak mencapai 1.00E-05 dibandingkan dengan sistem yang telah dirancang.
