Analisis Pengaruh Variasi Temperatur dan Waktu Tahan Tempering pada Proses Hardening terhadap Sifat Mekanik dan Struktur Mikro Material Hamer Crusher

Abstract
Clinker Cooler adalah salah satu peralatan yang memiliki fungsi sangat penting dalam industri semen. Clinker cooler berfungsi untuk mendinginkan terak (clinker) yang diproduksi oleh kiln sebelum terak diproses lagi sebagai bahan baku pembuat semen. Terak yang dihasilkan oleh kiln didinginkan di dalam clinker cooler, kemudian ukuran terak tersebut diperkecil dengan hammer crusher yang ada di dalam clinker cooler . Hammer crusher merupakan alat penghancur clinker di PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Hammer crusher mengalami keausan yang cepat dan tidak sesuai dengan umur pakainya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari solusi dengan menganalisis pengaruh variasi temperatur dan waktu tahan tempering pada proses hardening terhadap sifat mekanik dan struktur mikro material hammer crusher. Spesimen uji dipanaskan pada temperatur 1000°C dengan waktu tahan 60 menit dan di-quench mengunakan oli, dilanjutkan tempering pada temperatur 200°C, 250°C, dan 300°C dengan variasi waktu tahan 2 jam dan 3 jam pada masing-masing variasi temperatur. Hasil proses perlakuan panas kemudian diuji kekerasan, metalografi, keausan, dan XRD (X-ray diffraction). Nilai kekerasan optimum dari material hammer crusher paduan krom tinggi adalah sebesar 699,60 HVN, yang dihasilkan dari proses hardening pada temperatur tempering 200 °C dan waktu tahan 2 jam. Tingginya harga kekerasan yang dihasilkan dari proses tersebut adalah akibat terbentuknya fasa martensit dan karbida Cr7C3.
