Analisis Pengaruh Posisi Center of Gravity terhadap Stabilitas Arah Bus Double Deck

Abstract
Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia akan berdampak pada kebutuhan alat transportasi, terutama alat transportasi umum yaitu bus. Keselamatan dan keamanan sarana transportasi umum sudah menjadi perhatian masyarakat pengguna bus. Salah satu kejadian yang berhubungan dengan keselamatan dan keamanan penumpang adalah kecelakaan. Tingginya angka kecelakaan sebagian besar diakibatkan oleh kelalaian pengemudi dan kurangnya stabilitas kendaraan saat di jalanan. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan analisa stabilitas arah kendaraan bus double deck. Ada beberapa variasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain kecepatan, sudut belok, sudut kemiringan melintang jalan, jenis permukaan jalan, dan posisi center of gravity. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perilaku arah bus double deck yang dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu understeer, oversteer, dan netral. Ketiga perilaku arah belok kendaraan dapat diketahui dengan melakukan analisa slip, skid, dan guling. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah bus double deck mengalami kondisi paling stabil saat kondisi 4 (ekstrim depan) dimana hanya ada penumpang di bagian depan pada kedua deck. Kendaraan ini mengalami kondisi paling stabil ketika melewati jalan miring daripada jalan datar karena sudut slip nya semakin kecil dengan bertambahnya sudut kemiringan melintang jalan. Kendaraan mengalami skid lebih cepat pada jalan basah daripada jalan kering.
