Abstract
Kapal Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) semakin banyak dibangun seiring dengan program pengadaan 1.700 kapal nelayan berbahan fiberglass oleh pemerintah pada tahun 2016. Seiring dengan dibangunnya kapal fiberglass tersebut, maka jumlah pekerjaan reparasi kapal fiberglass juga meningkat. Akan tetapi reparasi kapal fiberglass pada galangan umumnya masih belum menggunakan standar Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) maupun guidebook reparasi kapal fiberglass. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh laminasi fiberglass akibat proses reparasi terhadap kekuatan kapal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan lokasi kerusakan dan schedule laminasi. Lokasi kerusakan yang diteliti adalah geladak, sisi dan alas dengan kerusakan berupa sobek pada kulit. Variasi metode reparasi yang dipilih adalah single sided scharf repair dan double sided scharf repair. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah pengujian tarik dan pengujian tekuk untuk menghitung tensile strength, modulus of tensile elasticity, bending strength dan modulus of bending elasticity. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah setelah direparasi kapal FRP masih memiliki nilai tensile strength dan modulus of tensile elasticity yang memenuhi standar BKI dimana penurunan terbesar tensile strength adalah 9,66% dari nilai awal dan modulus of tensile elasticity berkurang sebesar 18,93% dari nilai awal. Setelah dilakukannya proses reparasi, kapal juga masih memiliki nilai bending strength dan modulus of bending elasticity yang memenuhi standart BKI dimana pengurangan terbesar bending strength adalah 38,94% dari nilai awal dan modulus of bending elasticity berkurang sebesar 63,62%. Biaya reparasi yang paling ekonomis pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan variasi double sided scharf repair pada lokasi geladak dengan total biaya Rp2.600.985, yaitu lebih murah 13,51% dari biaya reparasi sesungguhnya.
