Analisa Perbandingan Gerakan Ponton Model Tripod Sama Kaki dengan Siku-Siku untuk Energi Gelombang Sistem Bandulan

Abstract
Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombang Laut – Sistem Bandulan (PLTGL-SB) adalah salah satu pembangkit listrik yang memanfaatkan gelombang laut sebagai sumber energinya. Ponton berfungsi untuk mengangkut bandul yang terhubung dengan generator. Setiap gerakan air laut akan menggoyangkan bandul untuk memutar generator sehingga menghasilkan energi listrik. Perbedaan model ponton berpengaruh terhadap gerakan yang akan dihasilkan. Penelitian sebelumnya telah dilakukan dan masih dikembangkan pada model ponton tripod sama kaki. Sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mendapatkan efisiensi dari jumlah pemasangan ponton tripod. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada ponton model tripod siku-siku dengan sama kaki, yaitu tiga buah ponton segidelapan yang dihubungkan dengan membentuk pola segitiga siku-siku dan sama kaki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gerakan terbaik pada kedua ponton model tripod tersebut. Pada tinggi gelombang 5 – 11.5 cm, gerakan terbaik didapat pada tinggi gelombang 11.5 meter. Pada periode gelombang 10 – 16 detik, gerakan terbaik didapat pada periode gelombang 10 detik. Ponton model tripod siku-siku menghasilkan gerakan yang lebih bagus untuk diaplikasikan pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombang Laut – Sistem Bandulan (PLTGL-SB) jika dibandingkan dengan ponton tripod sama kaki.
