Pra Desain Pabrik Margarin dari Biji Jagung dengan Proses Hidrogenasi

Abstract
Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan suatu perancangan pabrik margarin berbahan baku biji jagung dengan proses hidrogenasi berkapasitas 10.404 ton/tahun, waktu operasi 24 jam selama 340 hari/tahun. Tujuan perancangan pabrik margarin ini ialah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan margarin dalam negeri sebanyak 20%. Pabrik margarin ini direncanakan akan beroperasi pada tahun 2022 dan berlokasi di Kecamatan Montong, Kabupaten Tuban, Jawa Timur. Pemilihan lokasi ini didasarkan atas ketersediaan bahan baku, kedekatan dengan pasar, serta keberadaan sarana penunjang baik untuk distribusi maupun untuk utilitas pabrik. Pembuatan margarin ini menggunakan proses hidrogenasi dan secara garis besar terdapat 3 tahapan utama meliputi tahap pressing, tahap pemurnian minyak, dan tahap pembuatan margarin. Dari analisa ekonomi didapatkan total biaya produksi sebesar Rp.181.445.128.144 dan total penjualan produk sebesar Rp. 367.000.425.005 dengan IRR 27,17 %, POT selama 5 tahun 6 bulan, dan BEP sebesar 28,9 % kapasitas.
