Modifikasi Coolbox Dengan Insulasi Pendinginan Freon Pada Ruang Muat Kapal Ikan Tradisional

Abstract
Mutu ikan merupakan faktor yang sangat penting agar harga jualnya tetap tinggi. Untuk itu perlu proses pendinginan yang tepat. Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dimodifikasi bentuk coolbox dengan insulasi pada dindingnya. Pada penelitian ini memodifikasi coolbox dengan insulasi pendinginan freon demi mendapatkan kualitas ikan yang semakin baik dari penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh insulasi pendinginan freon terhadap waktu dan temperatur pendinginan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan percobaan yang kombinasinya disesuaikan dengan penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil percobaan yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa total waktu pendinginan yaitu 7221 menit (120 jam 21 menit) dengan suhu terendah hingga mencapai -3oC pada kombinasi 95 kg ikan : 60 kg es basah : 35 kg es kering dengan insulasi freon. Untuk waktu pendinginan terbaik -2oC sampai 5oC sebesar 4445menit (74 jam 5 menit) berlangsung lebih lama dibanding penelitian sebelumnya. 95 kg ikan : 60 kg es basah : 35 kg es kering dengan insulasi pendinginan freon. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa insulasi freon berpengaruh besar terhadap waktu dan suhu pendinginan
