Studi Eksperimen Kinerja Turbin Angin Savonius Yang Terintegrasi dengan Gedung dengan Rasio G/D = 1,4558

Abstract
Tujuan eksperimen ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan model dinding bangunan di dekat advancing blade terhadap performa turbin Savonius. Studi eksperimen dilakukan dengan menggunakan turbin angin Savonius 2 blade dengan diameter sudu turbin (D) = 165,2 mm, tinggi turbin (H) dan panjang karakteristik (L) = 303,4 mm, diameter endplate (D_0) = 321 mm, diameter poros (b) = 19 mm. Kemudian digunakan model dinding bangunan dengan jarak antara pusat poros turbin dengan beberapa parameter tetap yaitu rasio jarak pusat poros turbin ke model dinding bangunan terhadap diameter sudu turbin (G/D) = 1,4558, rasio tinggi turbin terhadap panjang karakteristik (H/L) = 1, rasio jarak pusat poros turbin ke muka model bangunan terhadap diameter sudu turbin (S/D) = 4,91, rasio jarak end plate bagian atas ke atap model bangunan terhadap diameter sudu turbin (T/D) = 1,16 dan rasio jarak end plate bagian bawah ke plat dasar penyangga turbin Savonius terhadap diameter turbin Savonius (K/D) = 1,31. Selanjutnya, digunakan variasi kecepatan sebesar 4; 5; 6; 7; 8 dan 9 m/s. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan peletakan model dinding bangunan di dekat advancing blade turbin Savonius menggunakan rasio G/D = 1,4558, efektif dalam meningkatkan Coefficient of Power (C_p) dan Coefficient of Moment (C_m) pada kecepatan 4 m/s dan 6 m/s. Kenaikan nilai C_p dan C_m maksimum terjadi pada kecepatan 4 m/s dengan kenaikan nilai C_p dan C_m secara berturut-turut yaitu 46,56% dan 34,1%. Sedangkan pada pengukuran Coefficient of Static Torque (C_TS) menunjukkan bahwa adanya dinding bangunan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan self starting turbin Savonius pada seluruh variasi kecepatan.
