Pra-Desain Pabrik Dimethyl Ether dari Gas Alam Melalui Direct Process

Abstract
Program konversi minyak tanah ke LPG (Liquedfied Petroleum Gas) sejak tahun 2007 memberikan dampak besar terhadap konsumsi LPG di Indonesia. Meningkatnya kebutuhan LPG mendorong untuk melakukan impor sehingga beban anggaran pemerintah semakin besar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut diperlukannya pengembangan bahan bakar alternatif yang dapat menggantikan peran LPG sebagai bahan bakar. Pendirian industri DME (Dimethyl Ether) di Indonesia menjawab akan masalah atas kebutuhan LPG. Ketersediaan bahan baku berupa gas alam yang melimpah, membuat industri DME di Indonesia memiliki prospek yang menjanjikan. Proses pembuatan DME dari gas alam secara direct process pada pabrik ini dibagi kedalam empat buah sektor utama antara lain Sektor Reforming, Sektor Heat Recovery, Sektor Sintesa DME, dan Sektor Purifikasi DME. Kondisi operasi produksi DME yaitu pada temperatur 250-280oC dan tekanan 5-6 Mpa dengan menggunakan tipe slurry reactor. Pabrik DME memiliki feed masuk berupa gas alam sebanyak 40040,573 kg/jam menghasilkan produk utama berupa DME sebanyak 36.697,742 kg/jam. Dari hasil perhitungan pada neraca ekonomi didapatkan IRR sebesar 24,79 % dan BEP sebesar 33 % dimana POT selama 3,77 tahun. Dengan bunga 8,5% per tahun. Pabrik diperkirakan bertahan selama 15 tahun dengan lama waktu pembangunan selama 2 tahun. Operasi pabrik 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Modal Investasi Rp 2.709.985.035.056/tahun, Biaya Produksi: Rp1.804.737.785.743/tahun, Hasil Penjualan: Rp2.856.638.643.598/tahun.
