Koordinasi Kontroler PID dan Thyrystor Controlled Phase Shifter (TCPS) pada Load Frequency Control (LFC) Menggunakan Differential Evolution (DE)

Pada sistem tenaga listrik, perubahan beban tidak dapat diprediksi. Beban yang berubah secara tiba-tiba menyebabkan osilasi pada frekuensi generator. Pada sistem tenaga listrik multi area, generator bekerja secara sinkron. Osilasi frekuensi dapat menyebabkan frekuensi generator lepas sinkron. Oleh karena itu, osilasi frekuensi harus diredam dengan cara pengaturan frekuensi dan beban atau Load Frequency Control (LFC). Pengaturan frekuensi pada generator dilakukan oleh governor. Untuk mendapatkan performansi yang lebih baik, pengaturan frekuensi pada generator diberi aksi kontrol Kontroler Proporsional Integral Differensial (PID). Selain kontroller PID, osilasi dapat diredam dengan Thyristor Controlled Phase Shifter (TCPS). TCPS adalah salah satu peralatan Flexible AC Transmision System (FACTS). FACTS juga banyak digunakan sebagai peredam osilasi. Agar didapatkan koordinasi yang baik, maka parameter PID dan TCPS dioptimisasi dengan Differential Evolution (DE).
