Studi Eksperimen Efek Penempatan Dinding di Samping Sudu Returning Terhadap Kinerja Turbin Angin Savonius Pada Jarak G/D=1,0018

Abstract
Seiring meningkatnya kebutuhan listrik dan terbatasnya ketersediaan energi tidak terbarukan, maka pentingnya beralih ke energi baru terbarukan (EBT). Salah satu potensi energi baru terbarukan yang ada di Indonesia adalah energi angin. Pemasangan turbin angin Savonius pada gedung di perkotaan diharapkan mampu memanfaatkan aliran angin yang bebas hambatan dan meningkatkan peran energi baru terbarukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menempatkan sudu returning turbin angin Savonius di samping model dinding bangunan dengan rasio jarak antara pusat turbin dan dinding terhadap diameter sudu turbin (G/D) sebesar 1,0018 dan variasi kecepatan angin yang digunakan sebesar 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, dan 10 m/s. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penempatan model dinding di samping returning blade turbin angin Savonius pada jarak G/D = 1,0018 tidak efektif dalam meningkatkan nilai Coefficient of Power dan Coefficient of Moment pada semua kecepatan. Selain itu, penempatan model dinding di samping returning blade turbin angin Savonius pada jarak G/D = 1,0018 efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan self-starting turbin pada kecepatan 5 dan 6 m/s yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan Koefisien Torsi Statis minimum (CTsmin).
