Estimasi Doppler Spread pada Sistem Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) dengan Metode Phase Difference

Abstract
Doppler spread akan menyebabkan terjadinya pelebaran spektral sinyal informasi sehingga menganggu ortogonalitas antar subcarrier atau biasa disebut Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) pada sistem OFDM. Pengestimasian doppler spread akan berguna untuk mengetahui besarnya efek doppler spread pada sistem dan membantu untuk meningkatkan optimasi pentransmisian sinyal informasi serta membantu untuk mengembangkan algoritma yang mampu meminimalkan efek ICI. Pada penelitian ini, estimasi doppler spread dengan metode Phase Difference menggunakan pola tipe-comb dalam penyisipan pilotnya. Selanjutnya estimasi kanal yang digunakan adalah Piece-wise Linear. Estimasi kanal bertujuan untuk mencari 1 kanal yang dominan di antara kanal-kanal yang ada. Kanal diasumsikan menggunakan model kanal rekomendasi ITU Vehicular dan model mobile-to-fix Clarke. Pada kanal ITU Vehicular , terdapat 6 tap yang memiliki delay time dan average power yang berbeda-beda. Setelah melakukan simulasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin besar doppler spread, semakin kecil jumlah simbol pilot yang dibutuhkan untuk membentuk satu lingkaran pada diagram konstelasi, dan sebaliknya. Rentang nilai doppler spread yang bisa diestimasi adalah 0.0117-0.2997. Untuk rentang SNR 10-30 dB, besarnya error adalah ± 64.72%, sedangkan untuk rentang SNR 40-80 dB, besarnya error adalah ± 35.81%.
