Studi Kemampuan Instalasi Pengolahan Air untuk Meminimalisasi Trihalometana (Studi Kasus IPA Siwalanpanji Kabupaten Sidoarjo)

Abstract
Dalam pengolahan air minum, desinfektan yang paling umum digunakan adalah senyawa klor. Natural Organic Matter (NOM) yang ada pada air baku bereaksi dengan senyawa klor melalui klorinasi dapat menghasilkan produk sampingan seperti trihalometana (THM) yang memberikan dampak buruk kepada kesehatan. Penelitian ini memprediksi konsentrasi total trihalometana (TTHM) dengan 7 rumus empiris dan membandingkan kemampuan kedua jenis instalasi di lokasi yaitu konvensional dan ultrafiltrasi. Sampel diambil dan dianalisis untuk 6 jenis parameter yakni pH, suhu, dosis klor, COD, UV254, dan waktu kontak. Konsentrasi TTHM diprediksi dengan 7 rumus empiris dan dipilih rumus yang paling sesuai oleh metode ranking. Kemudian, kemampuan kedua instalasi dihitung dengan rumus removal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rumus yang memiliki hubungan dan kesesuaian terbesar terhadap kondisi penelitian ini adalah rumus 7. Rumus 7 ini memiliki nilai kesesuaian 0,8644. Kemudian, hasil perhitungan kemampuan jenis instalasi menunjukan dari sebagian besar data bahwa pengolahan konvensional (rata-rata 23,8428%) memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik dari pengolahan ultrafiltrasi (rata-rata 16,6630%) dalam meminimalisasi konsentrasi TTHM.
