Perencanaan dan Penataan Menara Telekomunikasi Seluler di Kabupaten Bangkalan menggunakan MapInfo

Abstract
Teknologi dan industri telekomunikasi saat ini sudah mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, terutama untuk sistem komunikasi nirkabel dan/atau bergerak. Hal ini mengakibatkan peningkatan kebutuhan fasilitas-fasilitas yang mendukung terbangunnya suatu jaringan nirkabel, seperti menara telekomunikasi yang menyediakan jaringan untuk berkomunikasi bagi penggunanya. Sedangkan untuk membangun menara telekomunikasi ini memerlukan ketersediaan lahan, bangunan dan ruang udara. Dengan demikian hal yang harus dilakukan adalah merancang suatu master plan penataan menara telekomunikasi seluler berdasarkan estetika dan kesesuaian dengan rencana tata ruang wilayah Kabupaten Bangkalan yang kemudian dievaluasi agar memenuhi kebutuhan layanan seluler. Master plan penataan menara telekomunikasi ini meliputi, analisa zona penempatan menara baru (zona biru), analisis potensi pengguna telepon seluler sampai 5 tahun ke depan, prediksi jumlah menara/tower telekomunikasi bersama, dan pemetaan pola penataan pemakaian menara/tower bersama di Kabupaten Bangkalan dengan menggunakan bantuan software MapInfo.
