Analisis Kemampuan Pendeteksian Pengujian Eddy Current terhadap Retak Memanjang Logam Las pada Sambungan Tee Joint Material Aluminium 5083 Dilapisi Non-Conductive Coating dengan Variasi Panjang dan Kedalaman Cacat

Abstract
Material seringkali mengalami kerusakan atau retak yang diakibatkan oleh proses pengelasan, salah satunya berada di bawah lapisan pelindung material. Retak tersebut dapat diperiksa dengan metode Eddy Current Testing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sensitivitas dari Eddy Current Testing (ECT) dengan menggunakan variasi dimensi retak pada sambungan las tee joint material aluminium 5083. Penelitian ini menggunakan lima buah test piece material aluminium 5083 dengan masing-masing material berkuran 200 mm x 50 mm x 10 mm. Tiap material tersebut disambungkan dengan cara dilas. Retak buatan dibuat dengan menggunakan Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) dengan variasi panjang dan kedalaman retak dengan 4 retak tiap test piece. Variasi panjang retak yang digunakan yaitu: 5.0 mm, 7.0 mm, 9.0 mm, dan 15.0 mm. Untuk variasi kedalaman retak yang digunakan yaitu: 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm dan 2.5 mm. Dengan menggunakan pengaturan parameter pengujian sebagai berikut. Probe connector: BNC; Frequency mode: Single; Frequency: 30 kHz; Angle: 352o; H gain: 59.8 dB; V gain: 68.9 dB; didapatkan hasil tinggi rata-rata indikasi sinyal retak pada pendeteksian kedalaman retak sebagai berikut. Untuk kedalaman retak 0.5 mm tinggi indikasi sinyal retaknya 4.5 mm; kedalaman 1.0 mm adalah 11.75 mm; kedalaman 1.5 mm adalah 19.75 mm; kedalaman 2.0 mm adalah 26.5 mm dan kedalaman 2.5 mm adalah 31.25 mm. Tingkat ketelitian yang didapat untuk pendeteksian kedalaman retak ialah 93.57%. Untuk pendeteksian panjang retak didapatkan hasil rata-rata panjang terukur retak buatan sebagai berikut: panjang retak aktual 5 mm memiliki nilai panjang retak terukur 6.32 mm; panjang retak aktual 7 mm memiliki nilai panjang retak terukur 7.18 mm; panjang retak aktual 9 mm memiliki nilai panjang retak terukur 8.8 mm dan panjang retak aktual 15 mm memiliki nilai panjang retak terukur 14.48 mm. Tingkat ketelitian yang didapat untuk pendeteksian panjang retak ialah 91.31%.
