Studi Eksperimental Kinerja Turbin Angin Savonius yang Terintegrasi dengan Gedung dengan Posisi Sudu Advancing Dekat Dinding pada Jarak G/D = 1,58

Abstract
Konsumsi energi di Indonesia semakin meningkat sedangkan ketersediaan sumber energi yang tidak terbarukan semakin menipis. Indonesia memiliki potensi yang cukup besar terutama sumber energi angin untuk digunakan sebagai sumber pembangkit listrik. Turbin angin Savonius yang diletakkan di dekat bangunan mampu menjadi media untuk menghasilkan tenaga listrik. Turbin angin Savonius berputar karena adanya selisih torsi pada advancing blade dan returning blade sehingga menghasilkan energi mekanik yang berubah menjadi energi listirk. Penelitian ini menggunakan turbin angin Savonius yang memiliki 2 sudu dengan diameter sudu turbin (D) sebesar 165,2 mm, diameter end plate (D0) 320 mm, dan diameter poros turbin (b) sebesar 19 mm. Model dinding untuk mensimulasikan dinding dari gedung yang terbuat dari kayu multiplies dengan panjang 1550 mm, lebar 450 mm, dan tinggi 705 mm diletakkan di dekat advancing blade. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan G/D = 1,58; H/L = 1; S/D = 4,91; T/D = 1,16; K/D = 1,31 dengan menggunakan variasi kecepatan angin 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 dan 9 m/s. Hasil yang didapatkan dari eksperimen dengan memasang model dinding bangunan didekat advancing blade turbin angin Savonius dengan G/D = 1,58 adalah kecepatan optimum pada kecepatan angin 4 m/s dengan nilai Coefficient of Power sebesar 0,0596 pada λ = 0,698 dan Coefficient of Moment sebesar 0,1285 pada λ = 0. Pemberian model dinding juga meningkatkan kemampuan self starting turbin angin Savonius pada kecepatan 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 dan 9 m/s dimana Coefficient of Static Torque yang dihasilkan lebih tinggi dibandingkan turbin tanpa dinding.
