Studi Eksperimen Kineja Turbin Angin Savonius yang Terintegrasi dengan Gedung dengan Posisi Sudu Advancing Dekat Dinding pada Jarak G/D = 1,214

Abstract


Pada Eksperimen ini, Turbin angin Savonius yang digunakan memiliki 2 sudu turbin dengan diameter sudu turbin (D) 165,2 mm, tinggi turbin (H) 294,4 mm, diameter poros (b) 19 mm, dan diameter end plates (D_0) 321 mm. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan kayu multiplek sebagai perwujudan gedung tinggi dengan sisi advancing blade dekat dengan dinding pada rasio jarak G/D 1,214. Variasi kecepatan yang digunakan yaitu 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 dan 9 m/s. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah turbin angin Savonius dengan menggunakan dinding dapat meningkatkan performa turbin angin Savonius pada kecepatan 4 m/s dengan nilai Coefficient of Power yang didapatkan sebesar 0,08 pada Tip Speed Ratio 0,677 dan Coefficient of Moment sebesar 0,1603 pada Tip Speed Ratio 0. Penggunaan model dinding juga meningkatkan kemampuan self starting turbin angin Savonius pada kecepatan 4-9 m/s dimana nilai Coefficient of Static Torque yang dihasilkan lebih tinggi dibandingkan turbin angin Savonius tanpa dinding.
