Evaluasi Kinerja Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) RSUD Kabupaten Indramayu Kelas B dan RS Swasta Y Cirebon Kelas B

Abstract

Berbagai kegiatan manusia menghasilkan air limbah, salah satunya adalah aktivitas rumah sakit. Air limbah rumah sakit umumnya memiliki karakteristik serupa dengan limbah domestik, tetapi mengandung zat toksik, non-biodegradable, atau polutan yang infeksius. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan membandingkan karakteristik air limbah dengan baku mutu, kesesuaian kondisi eksisting IPAL dengan kriteria desain saat debit eksisting dan maksimum, dan pengelolaan IPAL RSUD Kabupaten Indramayu Kelas B dan RS Swasta Y Cirebon Kelas B (RS Y). Efluen dari IPAL RSUD memenuhi baku mutu dengan nilai BOD 9,5 mg/L, COD 29,7 mg/L, TSS 14 mg/L, DO 5,4 mg/L, Amonia 0,52 mg/L, total coliform 280 jumlah/100 ml, dan pH 7,46. Sedangkan efluen dari IPAL RS Swasta Y Cirebon Kelas B memenuhi baku mutu kecuali total coliform dengan nilai BOD 15,1 mg/L, COD 43 mg/L, TSS 25,4 mg/L, DO 3,4 mg/L, Amonia 2,06 mg/L, dan pH 7,57 kecuali nilai Coliform 4,6 x 106 jumlah/100 ml. IPAL RSUD hampir seluruhnya memenuhi kriteria desain sampai Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) 100%. Sedangkan IPAL RS Y memenuhi kriteria desain saat kondisi eksisting dengan Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) 62%. Pengelolaan IPAL RSUD sudah sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku, kecuali pengurasan lumpur yang belum terjadwal dan pelatihan pengelolaan IPAL untuk operator. Sedangkan pengelolaan IPAL RS Y sudah sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku juga, kecuali pelatihan pengelolaan untuk kepala.
