Perancangan Instalasi Pompa Cooling System pada Kapal Bantu Rumah Sakit Studi Kasus: PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero)

Abstract


Saat ini, PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) sedang memproduksi 2 buah Kapal Bantu Rumah Sakit. Pada sebuah kapal membutuhkan engine sebagai penggerak. Agar kinerja [engine tetap optimal, dibutuhkan sistem pendinginan yang sesuai. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan pada instalasi pompa pendinginan engine menggunakan dua fluida yaitu fluida fresh water dan juga sea water. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan perhitungan Head efektif, daya, efisiensi, dan pemilihan pompa. Metode penyelesaian yang digunakan adalah melalui perhitungan analitis dan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow expert v7.40. Hasil perhitungan dari perancangan instalasi fresh water, Heff = 26,323 m dengan kapasitas 72 m3/h maka dipilih pompa yang sesuai merek Grundfoss TP 80-330/2 dengan daya penggerak pompa sebesar 9,32 kW. Sedangkan pada instalasi sea water, Heff = 7,872 m dengan kapasitas 38 m3/h maka dipilih pompa yang sesuai merek Grundfoss TP 65-180/2 dengan daya penggerak pompa sebesar 1,51 kW.
