Identifikasi Asam Lemak dari Ragi Rhodotorula gracilis

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar dan jenis asam lemak yang terkandung dalam ragi Rhodotorula gracilis. Lipid diekstraksi menggunakan campuran pelarut kloroform:metanol (2:1 v/v). Lipid yang diperoleh kemudian ditransesterifkasi dengan BF3-metanol 14%. Hasil transesterifikasi dianalisis menggunakan Kromatografi lapis Tipis dan Kromatografi Gas – Spektroskopi Massa (KG-SM). Kadar lipid total ragi R. gracilis yang diperoleh sebesar 0,0841 g/g sel kering (8,41%). Total metil ester yang diperoleh dari hasil transesterifikasi sebesar 83,86%. Hasil Analisis asam lemak menunjukkan ada lima jenis metil ester yang teridentifikasi yaitu asam tridekanoat 0,98%, asam heksadekanoat (asam palmitat) 15,37%, asam heptadekanoat 2,09%, asam 9-oktadekanoat (asam oleat) 58,88%, dan asam oktadekanoat (asam stearat) 6,54%.
