Pengaruh Amobilisasi Kation Cu2+ dan Pb2+ terhadap Kuat Tekan dan Ketahanan Asam pada Geopolimer Abu Layang

Abstract


Penelitian amobilisasi kation Cu2+ dan Pb2+ pada geopolimer berbahan baku abu layang PT. IPMOMI telah dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil kuat tekan (compressive strength) maka ditentukan hasil kuat tekan terbaik pada kation Cu2+ dan Pb2+ untuk uji leaching dan karakterisasi XRD.  Kuat tekan terbaik dari amobilisasi kedua kation adalah  kation Pb2+ konsentrasi 1000 ppm adalah 12,28 MPa dan kation Cu2+ konsentrasi 2000 ppm  adalah 12,28 MPa. Fasa kristal (quartz) pada abu layang berkurang setelah diamobilisasi dengan kation logam Cu2+ dan Pb2+ karena masih terdapat puncak-puncak pada difraktogram kedua kation. Morfologi SEM-EDX menunjukkan masih adanya gumpalan silika pada kedua kation geopolimer yang belum terpolimerisasi. Amobilisasi kation Pb2+ lebih baik daripada kation Cu2+, yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil leaching amobilisasi kation Pb2+ negatif karena ukuran ion Pb2+ 1.75 Å sedangkan Cu2+ memiliki ukuran kation 1.28 Å.
