Pengaruh Suhu Terhadap Korosi Baja Ss 304 Dalam Media 1 M Hcl Dengan Adanya Inhibitor Kinina

Abstract


Efek inhibisi kinina pada korosi baja SS 304 dalam larutan HCl telah diteliti menggunakan metode pengurangan berat, polarisasi potensiodinamik dan electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, kinina dapat digunakan sebagai inhibitor pada korosi baja SS 304 dalam larutan HCl. Inhibitor ini dapat menurunkan laju korosi baja SS 304 dengan efisiensi inhibisi yang optimum mencapai 88,17% dalam larutan 1 M HCl dengan kondisi suhu 50°C pada konsentrasi 500 mg/L. Efisiensi inhibisi yang dihasilkan meningkat dengan semakin besarnya konsentrasi inhibitor. Pengaruh suhu terhadap nilai Ea pada media tanpa inhibitor yang lebih besar dibanding pada media dengan inhibitor, dimana hal tersebut dihubungkan dengan terjadinya peristiwa kemisorpsi dari Kinina pada permukaan baja. Adsorpsi molekul kinina pada permukaan baja mengikuti adsorpsi isotermal Langmuir.
