Abstract


Pencemaran logam berat Kadmium (Cd) di perairan dapat mengganggu kestabilan ekosistem di perairan karena logam sukar untuk didegradasi. Pencemaran logam berat secara tidak langsung dapat terakumulasi melalui rantai makanan. Cholorella sp. adalah mikroalga yang dapat digunakan sebagai agensia bioremediasi yang baik dan tidak banyak memiliki efek samping yang dapat merugikan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya resistensi Chlorella sp. terhadap logam Cd2+ . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kultur Chlorella sp. Uji resistensi menggunakan konsentrasi 5 mg/L, 10 mg/L, 15 mg/L, 25 mg/L, dan 50 mg/L dimasukkan ke dalam bioreaktor yang berisi Chlorella sp. dan diamati dibawah mikroskop tiap jam selama 5 jam. Pengamatan sel hidup dengan menggunakan haemacytometer. Sel Chlorella sp. mampu resisten sampai dengan konsentrasi 15 mg/L
