Analisa XRD dan SEM pada Lapisan Tipis TiC setelah Uji Oksidasi

Abstract


Telah dilakukan uji oksidasi pada material grafit yang telah dilapisi TiC selama 4 menit di udara. Penelitian dilakukan pada sampel grafit yag dilapisi dengan TiC dengan menggunakan metode PIRAC pada suhu 950oC selama 10 jam dalam atmosfer argon mengalir. Pengujian oksidasi dilakukan pada temperatur 980oC di udara dengan waktu pengujian 4 menit dimana setiap 2 menit oksidasi dihentikan. Dari karakterisasi XRD diketahui untuk oksidasi 4 menit ditemukan dua fasa yakni TiC dan TiO2sebagai residu. Dari hasil SEM-EDX teramati pesrsebaran unsur karbon, titanium dan oksigen pada lapisan yang berbeda serta diperoleh informasi bahwa oksigen mengoksidasi sampel dengan jalan menembus lapisan TiC secara difusi
