Abstract


Metode spektrofotometri untuk pengukuran hipoklorit menggunakan Rhodamin B dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari hipoklorit terhadap Rhodamin B. Ion hipoklorit mengoksidasi Rhodamin B sehingga terjadi penurunan absorbansi pada kurva kalibrasi dengan nilai sensitivitas molar -371,9 dan koefisien korelasi (R2) sebesar 0,9916. Pengukuran hipoklorit menggunakan Rhodamin B tanpa penambahan reagen KI dan Buffer telah berhasil dilakukan dengan mereaksikan ion hipoklorit yang berasal dari asam hipoklorit (HOCl) terhadap Rhodamin B dengan membandingkan data dari uji F. Ion hipoklorit yang mengoksidasi Rhodamin B diukur sebagai selisih absorbansi yang diplotkan pada kurva kalibrasi dengan nilai absortivitas molar 0,0022, koefisien korelasi (R2) sebesar 0,9918, limit deteksi 0,949 µgmL-1 dan limit kuantitasi 2,875 µgmL-1.
