Optimasi Penentuan Waktu Optimum Pemeliharaan (Preventive Maintenance) Mesin Boiler Di PT. X Menggunakan Metode Geometric Process

Abstract
PT X merupakan salah satu perusahaan pengalengan ikan di Indonesia yang terletak di Gempol Kabupaten Pasuruan Jawa Timur. Proses produksi di PT X dilakukan menggunakan bantuan mesin untuk memudahkan dan mengefisiensi proses produksi. Salah satu mesin yang penting dalam proses produksi adalah mesin Boiler. Mesin Boiler adalah mesin yang berfungsi untuk mengubah air menjadi steam yang digunakan pada proses cooking dan sterilisasi (retort). Selama ini pemeliharaan mesin Boiler di PT X adalah corrective maintenance karena perhitungan secara sistematis dengan pendekatan ilmu statistika belum pernah dilakukan, sehingga usia pakai komponen mesin masih belum diketahui. Pada penelitian kali ini akan dibahas mengenai penentuan waktu optimum pemeliharaan (preventive maintenance) dengan biaya minimum menggunakan metode Geometric Process. Metode ini digunakan karena kerusakan mesin memiliki trend. Hasil analisis menghasilkan bahwa waktu optimum untuk melakukan kegiatan pemeliharaan (preventive maintenance) mesin Boiler di PT X dengan biaya minimum adalah pada saat kerusakan ke 6 dengan estimasi biaya sebesar Rp 6.301.382. Dengan menerapkan kebijakan pemeliharaan (preventive maintenance) mesin Boiler setelah mengalami kerusakan ke-6, PT X dapat menghemat biaya pemeliharaan (preventive maintenance) sebesar Rp 10.698.618 jika dibandingkan dengan biaya dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan dalam memelihara mesin Boiler (CR).
