Potensi Basidiomycetes Koleksi Biologi ITS sebagai Agen Biodekolorisasi Zat Warna RBBR

Abstract


Basidiomycetes menghasilkan enzim ligninolitik untuk merombak zat warna anthraquinon dengan mengoksidasi senyawa karbon menjadi CO2 dan H2O. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan 22 isolat Basidiomycetes koleksi Laboratorium Mikrobiologi dan Bioteknologi Biologi ITS sebagai agen biodekolorisasi zat warna RBBR. Uji dekolorisasi zat warna RBBR (Remazol Brilliant Blue R) dilakukan pada Medium Basal Agar Chloramphenicol (MBA-C) yang mengandung 100 ppm RBBR dengan mengamati pemudaran warna selama 7 hari inkubasi. Penelitian ini dianalisa menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua isolat mampu mendekolorisasi RBBR. Dekolorisasi terbesar ditunjukkan pada isolat LM 3002 (Climacodon septentrionalis). Pertumbuhan koloni basidiomycetes tercepat adalah isolat LM 3002 (Climacodon septentrionalis) yaitu mencapai 9 cm dalam 3 hari inkubasi.
