Desain Area Bermain untuk Kereta Semi Cepat Indonesia

Abstract
Proyek kereta semi cepat Surabaya-Jakarta merupakan salah satu rencana proyek riil yang akan memajukan transportasi umum Indonesia. Dengan melihat beberapa kereta cepat yang telah ada di dunia, pastinya menjadi pedoman tentang hal-hal apa saja yang seharusnya ada untuk mencapai tingkat yang setara dengan kereta cepat yang telah mendahului. Di beberapa negara maju, kereta api telah memiliki area bermain khusus anak-anak. Hal ini penting untuk membuat penumpang anak-anak tetap merasa nyaman selama perjalanan. Berbeda dengan orang dewasa, anak-anak cenderung lebih aktif dan mudah sekali merasa bosan. Dan ketika mereka merasa bosan dan merasa dibatasi mereka akan menjadi tidak suka bahkan membenci apabila harus melakukan perjalanan panjang lagi. Sehingga area bermain khusus untuk anak-anak di dalam kereta merupakan jawaban dari permasalahan ini. Dalam proses pendesainan area bermain ini perlu diperhatikan seberapa luas area bermain, dimakah letak area bermain serta konsep apa yang paling menarik untuk dijadikan area bermain didalam kereta. Metode riset yang digunakan dalam mendesain area bermain antara lain : product planning , basic design, conceptual design, preliminary design, dan final design. Dengan berfokus kepada experience anak selama dikereta, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diterapkan di Indonesia sehingga memberikan kenyamanan lebih kepada seluruh penumpang dan memajukan industry perkereta apian Indonesia.
