Eksplorasi Bentuk Bangunan Local Women’s Opportunity Center dengan Konsep Gender Sensitive

Abstract

Pengarusutamaan gender telah menjadi salah satu gol pada Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) oleh PBB. Akan tetapi wanita masih banyak menerima diskriminasi. Indonesia sendiri menghadapi tiga isu utama terkait dengan wanita, yaitu kesenjangan upah berdasarkan gender, kekerasan terhadap perempuan, dan rendahnya tingkat kepercayaan diri. Ketiga isu seringkali dihadapi bersamaan oleh wanita, terutama dari kalangan ekonomi menengah ke bawah. Dalam lingkup arsitektural, wanita juga menghadapi diskriminasi dari desain lingkungan perkotaan di sekitarnya yang tidak ramah terhadap kebutuhan mereka sehingga wanita menghindari untuk beraktivitas di fasilitas publik. Salah satu konsep desain yang menempatkan wanita sebagai sentral rancangan adalah gender sensitive urban planning. Sebuah local women’s opportunity center dirancang dengan pendekatan gender sensitive design untuk merumuskan eksplorasi bentuknya.
