Perancangan Video Musik “Shut It Out” dengan Tema Cerita Satir untuk Meningkatkan Eksposrur Media Sosial Band Indie “Electric Bird”

Abstract

Electric Bird merupakan Band Indie yang akan merilis lagu “Shut It Out” pada tahun 2021. Namun dikarenakan kondisi pandemi COVID-19 dengan larangan untuk melakukan live performance. Mereka memfokuskan peningkatan eksposur pada media sosial. Platform music streaming terbesar adalah YouTube dengan konten yang paling banyak dicari user adalah video music. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah empat depth interview, Focus group discussion, studi experimental, recce, pre-production meeting dan Kuisioner post-test. Video musik ini merupakan kompilasi antara performa band dan cerita bertemakan satir. Tema satir ini diceritakan melalui plot corruption arc dan menggunakan teori “Story Circle” oleh Dan Harmon sebagai landasan. Perancangan ini juga menciptakan strategi distribusi untuk meningkatkan awareness target audien. Sehingga mereka mengetahui eksistensi dari video music.
