Pengaruh Ekstrak Buah Cabe Jamu (Piper retrofractum Vahl.) terhadap Perkembangan Larva Grayak (Spodoptera litura F.)

Abstract

Piper retrofractum merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mempunyai karakteristik sebagai insektisida nabati karena mengandung beberapa senyawa kimia  seperti piperin, kavisin dan minyak atsiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari ekstrak buah P. retrofractum yang berada di Kabupaten Pamekasan, Madura terhadap perkembangan larva grayak. Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan adalah metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 95%. Pengujian dilakukan dengan pengolesan daun pakan pada masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak buah P. retrofractum, yaitu 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, dan 30%. Setiap perlakuan menggunakan larva grayak instar 3 sebanyak 20 ekor dengan pengulangan tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak buah P. retrofactum berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan larva grayak, yaitu pada konsentrasi ekstrak buah cabe jamu 5-30% menyebabkan pembentukan pupa terhambat.
