Perancangan Panti Asuhan ABK dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Inklusif

Abstract

Presentase penyandang disabilitas pada rentang usia 0-18 tahun menempati urutan kedua terbanyak dari keseluruhan kelompok disabilitas di Indonesia. Meskipun memiliki kerabat, seringkali terdapat kondisi di mana keluarga merasa kurang mampu merawat ABK sehingga memerlukan wadah untuk pengawasan sang anak. Untuk merespon permasalahan ini, panti asuhan ABK dapat dipandang sebagai salah satu solusi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Isu ruang, aksesibilitas, serta sarana untuk menunjang proses tumbuh kembang ABK akan diwujudkan dalam bentuk desain inklusif. Desain inklusif fokus menjadikan segala jenis kebutuhan fisik dan non-fisik manusia sebagai jantung dari perancangan. Menggunakan metode force-based framework, permasalahan disabilitas ditetapkan sebagai faktor penentu utama dalam pengambilan keputusan rancang. Ketika kebutuhan akses, ruang, dan sarana tercapai, proses tumbuh kembang ABK yang ideal akan terpenuhi.
