Studi Gangguan Ag(I) dalam Analisa Besi dengan Pengompleks 1,10-Fenantrolin pada pH 4,5 secara Spektrofotometri UV-Vis

Abstract

Analisa besi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pereduksi natrium tiosulfat dan pengompleks 1,10-fenantrolin pada pH 4,5 secara spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Kompleks yang dihasilkan yaitu Fe(II)-1,10-fenantrolin yang berwarna merah-jingga memberikan serapan di daerah sinar tampak pada panjang gelombang maksimum 507 nm dan dapat diganggu oleh adanya ion Ag⁺ dengan cara menurunkan absorbansi. Ion Ag⁺ dipilih sebagai ion pengganggu dalam analisa  besi ini karena perak dapat membentuk kompleks dengan 1,10-fenantrolin sehingga terjadi kompetisi antara perak dan besi untuk membentuk kompleks dengan 1,10-fenantrolin. Kompetisi ini dapat mempengaruhi nilai absorbansi. Penambahan ion Ag⁺ mulai mengganggu analisa penentuan besi pada penambahan 0,03 ppm dengan persen recovery sebesar 92,88 %; RSD sebesar 3,645 ppt; dan CV sebesar 0,364 %.
