Pengaruh Salinitas terhadap Kandungan Protein dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Bawal Bintang (Trachinotus blochii)

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan protein dan pertumbuhan Ikan Bawal Bintang yang diberi perlakuan salinitas yang berbeda dalam rangka diversifikasi spesies perikanan budidaya air payau. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memelihara Ikan Bawal Bintang dalam akuarium berkapasitas 70 L menggunakan 4 perlakuan salinitas yaitu salinitas laut (34‰), 24‰, 14‰, dan 4‰ selama 28 hari. Parameter utama yang diamati adalah kandungan protein ikan (%), laju pertumbuhan panjang, dan laju pertumbuhan berat spesifik ikan, sedangkan parameter kualitas air yang diamati meliputi salinitas (‰), suhu (oC), DO (mg/L), dan pH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan protein tidak berbeda nyata antar perlakuan (P<0,05) berdasarkan uji ANOVA one-way dengan taraf kepercayaan 95% dengan nilai kandungan protein pada salinitas 34‰ sebesar 45,78%, salinitas 24 ‰ sebesar 54,43%, salinitas 14‰ sebesar 62,5%, dan salinitas 4‰ sebesar 55,86%. Kandungan protein tertinggi ada pada salinitas 24 ‰. Laju pertumbuhan berat spesifik Ikan Bawal Bintang sebesar 10,59% per hari,dan laju pertumbuhan panjang barian adalah sebesar 1,84 mm per hari. Kualitas air masih dalam kisaran aman yaitu suhu antara 28-30oC, DO antara 4-5 mg/L, dan pH antara 7,77-8,2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan pada kandungan protein dan pertumbuhan ikan baik Ikan Bawal Bintang salinitas laut maupun payau
